#2614 GOLDEN-CROWNED KINGLET
His name is almost as long as he is! The Golden-crowned Kinglet, measuring a mere 4", is one of the Adirondacks' smallest songbirds. With his brightly striped crown and yellow-edged wing and tail feathers, he's also one of the prettiest. It is always a special treat when I see one of these little beauties in the woods!
This particular Pocketknife carving is mounted on an attractive and unique piece of driftwood. Besides forming a natural triangular shape, the driftwood has a couple small stones embedded in it, underneath. My bandsaw "discovered" them at the cost of its blade!
Hand-painted with acrylics.
Numbered, signed and dated on the underside.
